There is just this about PH, I get olfactory fatigue after a couple of hours, thinking that it is gone, but it is not. So who get/think of bad performance, is just getting an olfactory fatigue or possibly bought a not authentic Mugler. Now, I am soooo f*cking happy that it was Pure Havane.
If you don’t know what Pure Havane smells like, all I can say to that is - Just get some! Pure Havane is a flat out amazing smelling fragrant masterpiece.
But then, these nice aromas simply wanished and it started to smell like something sweet without any flavor. Some say they get a lot of vanilla with newer batches and complain about longevity and projection. I wore it today, had 5 sprays on me and after 9 hours it was still going strong. For the tobacco note i need to launch my imagination as i only can wonder what that Cuban sweet tobacco leaves that everyone talk about smell like..
So, the opening is fantastic, but in drydown it is different fragnance at all. It is simmilar to Givenchy gentleman only INTENSE in drydown. On my skin it has a very good projection and scent trail for the first 6 hours then it settles down to an arm length projection. That aside I adore the opening, it is a blast of cherry that goes away in 15 seconds and leaves gorgeous patchouli honey cocoa aroma.
Do not blind buy, especially if you aren't inti sweet fragrances. Pure Havane gets a 9.75/10 Pure Malt gets a 9.5/10 The opening of this is one of the best openings I've smelled.. There is definitely 100% a strong cherry note in the opening along with strong sweet tobacco with the honey note. For those who wonder about the performance of 2017 batch, it is a beast for me, one of the best i have. If you don't like sweat fragrances, you might not like it. Longevity - 8/10(8 hours) Silage/Projection - 7/10(nice projection and silage for the first 2-3 hours) Weather - best in autumn and winter Age - 25 Compliments - 8/10 Scent - 9/10 Main notes according to me - honey, tobacco, vanille, patchouli, amber, cacao. There’s an undertone on cocoa but you need to search for it.
In the dry down the vanilla is prominent with the tobacco and patchouli.. The drydown is beautiful and i get some sweetness, amber and tobacco. Overall this is a very nice colder weather scent that just does exactly what a fragrance should do...smell good and complimenting the wearer. I had a tester bottle from 2012 and I absolutely destroyed that thing, it became my favorite mugler and i went through a bottle in one fall/winter/spring i am not kidding lol.
A * Men Pure Havana is a gourmand interpretation of the tobacco scent and the finest Cuban cigars signed by perfumer Jacques Huclier. I own all three and find pure havane the least wearable of them as it's so sweet and heavy although it is undeniably an amazing fragrance I Trying To Not Buy This One , Because I Have So Much Fragrances And I Don't Really Use Them All .. I had time to spare while a waited for the sales associate to gift wrap my item when she stepped away, I told myself "alright, let's smell this garbage again". Perhaps best worn in winter on a night out with friends. Its jan 2017 batch and I could smell this one as soon as it shot out the tester bottle which was a first for that to happen. A*Men Pure Havane is a real fun scent to wear and a real cold weather go to.I was so turned off that I stepped over to the beauty department to find a sponge pad and alcohol to remove the fragrance off my skin. Cuba was also an importer of spirits and liquors before the communist revolution. Smells like Heaven is kissing an angel at a tobacco plantation in Cuba. As this scent opens I get tobacco, a very sweet cherry tobacco that really evokes a cigar bar or tobacco shop.
